Legend of the Seeker S2 News

On July 23, Bruce Spence, Terry Goodkind, and executive producers Ken Biller and Ned Nalle graced Comic Con. Sadly, Craig Horner and Bridget Regan were back in New Zealand filming. The big news from Comic Con:
  • The second season premieres on the weekend of November 7. I wonder what will be shown the weekend before that. The second season seems to be following the VERY BASIC main point of Stone of Tears which is stopping the Keeper from getting out of the underworld.

  • Tabrett Bethell (Cara) is going to be a series regular and the first American guest actor not named Ted Raimi will appear in the season's premiere. I can't believe that Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) from Buffy/Angel is going to be a Mord-Sith!
I'm quite surprised Cara's a lead character in the show. I didn't think it would happen this early or at all. After hearing the behind the scenes concerning Mord-Sith, I thought it would be too much trouble (specially for the actress) to have one appear regularly.

  • Terry Goodkind is not involved with the show in any capacity. More details of his thoughts on the show here.

  • Season 1 DVD will be out on October 13.
I wish they would change the cover art since Chase isn't a series regular compared to Zedd. I'm hoping they release a soundtrack too specially since Joe LoDuca has been nominated for an Emmy.

  • The season 2 sneak peek is AWESOME!!!
The long exposition utilizes aspects from Stone of Tears: Keeper, Creator, tear in the veil, screeling poem, ramifications of using Orden to kill Rahl, and Wizard's Second Rule.
Craig Horner looks to have gained some weight and I like the facial hair. The beard looks more prominent than his appearance back in May at the DATG press junket.
Cara/Triana liplock = What the frakking frell! Is this supposed to cover the Berdine/Raina dynamic? And more importantly, does this mean no Benjamin? Unless, Cara swings both ways, hmmm.... I just want Benjamin to show up if only to add to the man candy which was lacking in season 1. I was hoping the rough draft of the premiere episode leaked a few months ago would change but I realized there was already a clue about Triana in the first season's finale. Cara shed some tears over a skeleton named Triana when she was in the future.
I'm so happy that there is a screeling even if its nature is different from the book. I was hoping they would appear because screeling > dragon.
The best part of the teaser: D'Harans bow to Richard!
