Revenant Hiding one of the boxes of Orden in the ancient Seeker's crypt should be easy, right?

My initial reaction after my first viewing: the episode is a make-out session. After subsequent viewings, the episode is a comparison between the previous true Seeker, his Confessor, and wizard to the current ones in the show. Love and duty are also themes touched upon concerning both trios. It's a good episode but "Denna"/"Sacrifice" (can't decide) are still my favorite.

- Kieran & Viviane
Their love story is another reminder that Kahlan and Richard can never be together. But, I wonder if the show is using them as foreshadowing for some hope for Richard and Kahlan. This is the second example of someone touched by a Confessor who doesn't change after she dies (Lara's lover in "Denna" was the other one).
I think Kieran was immune to Viviane's power because he already loved her. Amfortas may have misjudged the situation. Kieran's reaction to Amfortas' betrayal was not due to the Confessor's magic but his anger which was really understandable. The situation worsened because he had the Sword of Truth which amplified his rage.
The two ambiguous accounts of Kieran being confessed are too obvious to take them at face value. - Zedd
"I believe a Seeker and a Confessor belong together, Kieran."
Did he say that for Kieran's sake or does he know something about Confessors that Amfortas didn't? He did use Wizard's First Rule on Kieran to release Richard which was a plus. "Well obviously we can't leave the box in this cursed place."
I love the way he said it! It summarized the episode well too.
- Bridget Regan & Craig Horner
I'm impressed with their performances. Both were convincing as Viviane and Kieran in Kahlan and Richard's bodies, respectively. Bridget bites her lower lip just like Viviane and her voice is softer too. Craig's Kieran has a different demeanor and kept checking out Kahlan's chest.
The make-out scenes were smoldering hot! It was tame at first then became heated as time progressed. Good job, Mr. Director (a new addition to the show)! Special mention to the candle that was at the right place at the right time. I know Bridget and Craig are hot when they're standing and doing nothing but they were much hotter when they were trapped in the crypt. I think it's the candles (and torches), anyone looks good in candlelight. That was a provocative undressing scene too. I thought they would cut to commercial and come back with their clothes off but they didn't and prolonged the undressing. Kudos to both actors for using their eyes and heavy breathing effectively in the scenes. I was a bit surprised they went that far but damn it was sexy by just utilizing implication! I thought they wouldn't have any kissing scenes (technically it wasn't really Kahlan and Richard) after "Denna". Now, I'm not sure if they're going to wait for a while before there are any more sexy times. But then Bridget did say in an interview that Kahlan and Richard will be tested in their restraint for these upcoming episodes, so who knows.
- Michael Hurst as Amfortas
Hurst had various short scenes as Amfortas but the moment he killed Kieran was really good. The look in his eyes was so heartbreaking. - Elements from the book
the Grace, tracer cloud, and the Sword of Truth feeding on rage - Final conversation
Richard: "Love isn't something to fear, Kahlan."
Kahlan: "For me it is."
The angst lives on and it's much bleaker than before. Richard is really sure that they won't end up like Kieran and Viviane that it's naively cute.
Dislikes:
- Richard
The second time I thought he is an idiot. Maybe because the episode has the same writers as "Brennidon" and I thought Richard was an idiot there too. When will he ever learn not to rush and do things without thinking? Zedd really needs to lecture him about that. Oh wait, he can't since he left the group to hide the box.
Next week is "Hartland" with the return of Chase and Anna in the flesh! Add some gars and battle scenes and it should be good.
